• Radiocards - This is a free European digital greeting card site with a novel idea. Here, you can customize your card with an image and your personal greeting, as well as a live streaming radio station selection. Card images here include various lovely scenes from Europe, including photos from Ireland, Spain, France, Canada, the U.S. and more.
  
•  Just Postcards - A quality free digital postcard site, Just Postcards offers eight categories, including such topics as "Angels," "Fantasy Art," "Humor," "Vintage" and animated greetings. Some of the cards feature the work of Canadian cartoonist Tim Peckham. There's also a handy search engine to help you find just the card you need.

• DAIRgrams - This service goes beyond your typical greeting card site: here, you can actually send a real card via snail mail, for free! You are limited to one "DAIRgram" per household per 48-hour period. Their cards are 4.25-by-5.5 inches and display ads to pay for the cost of postage. Cards are available here for many occasions, including birthdays, love, friendship, Halloween, Christmas and more. Delivery is available to many countries.
• Greek postcards - Lots of lovely images of Greece at this free digital greetings site. Here, you'll find eye-catching photos of ancient monuments, cities, beaches, flowers, sunsets and islands. Other topics include romance and humor. (Offered in English, German and Greek).
• Gcards - A new free greeting cards site that offers an appealing selection of digital cards for every occasion. Categories here include "love," "nostalgia," "birthday," "flowers," "dolls," "bon voyage," "wildlife" and "pets," as well as general, all-purpose cards. You may select from either animated or non-animated images and if you can't think of what to say, there is even a variety of pre-written greetings available. You can personalize each card with your own message, text, background, music, etc.
  
• Emmaus Computing Greeting Cards - There's a nice assortment of animated free digital greeting cards at this site. Cards include "Thinking of You," birthday, congratulations, get well, thanks, "Making Up is Hard to Do" and more.
  
• E-mail Art - Here's a novel and classy way to get your sweetheart's attention. E-mail Art offers small, executable files that you can send with your E-mail. Once executed, they create lovely, fascinating artworks depicting roses, right before your eyes. Fun to watch. (For Windows 98/95 and NT).
  
•  MessageMates - This service offers cool, free digital animations that you can personalize and send as E-mail attachments. Themes are added every week. Current topics include Frank Sinatra, "Alienz," and the World Cup.
  
• VampPostcards - This site serves up 36 haunting images of vampires that you can send as free digital greeting cards. Pathway to Darkness, incidentally, is perhaps the Web's top resource for all things vampire-related, with forums, stories, games, vampire lore and much more. Turn out the lights, the party's starting!
  
• Free Cards for Music Lovers - Like the title says, this is a nice free digital card service that features images of many top pop, rock and country stars. Just select the thumbnail image of the artist you want and follow the instructions to send your card. Artists include Jewell, Natalie Imbruglia, Cher, Meredith Brooks and others.
  
•  Virtual Post Cards - Here's a nice up-and-coming free digital postcard service. Card topics include cats, flowers, sunsets, landscapes and butterflies and more are promised soon. There are some lovely photographic images here.
  
• One Stop Card Shop - Nice new free digital postcard site with a small, but growing selection of original card images to choose from. Categories include gemstones, underwater, flowers, weddings and birthdays. Just browse through the thumbnail images; select the one you want and add a personalized touch and you're all set.
  
• Sourd-Prise Digital Postcards - This interesting free digital card site is the only site we've seen that offers E-cards with pictures related to the topic of deafness and sign language. (Available in English and French).
  
•  Virtual Business Postcards - This unique service offers free digital business-related postcards. Just select your design (and, if you'd like, an accompanying MIDI file); view the preview and send it. Your recipient will receive E-mail advising her or him where to pick up the card.
  
• Postcards of Italy - This site offer free digital postcards featuring lovely images of landscapes and monuments in Italy. They also offer romantic and humor postcards.

•  ElectronicPostcards.com - This advertiser-supported free service features musical digital postcards in many categories. Images include fine art (everyone from Manet to Pollock) and photography. Categories include birthday, friendship, get well, inspiration, insults, love, miss you and thank you. There's also over 100 songs from which you may choose for background music for your card.
  
•  Activegrams - This clever, innovative site offers free animated entertainment and greetings, delivered by E-mail. Activegrams range from occasion-based messages to comic strip serials to absurdist animations with sounds effects, etc. They can be delivered in several ways: as an E-mail attachment; as HTML mail; or they can be placed on a custom page whose URL is E-mailed to the recipient.
  
•  E-Cards - This is one of the better digital greeting card services around. The number of image categories is vast and includes: "Current holidays and special events," "Animals," "Indigenous Peoples" and "Art." You can also send V-Cards (Internet Camera Postcards) here. V-Cards are connected to Internet cameras, which intermittently take new snapshots. A V-Card of "sunny Antarctica" may change to "Antarctica at night" by the time the recipient picks up the card. This site is supported by advertising and every card you send from this site results in a donation to the World Wildlife Fund.
  
•  Postcards from Prison - This decidedly offbeat free digital greeting card service offers various memorable images from the annals of crime and justice. From Clint Eastwood in "Escape from Alcatraz" to James Cagney in "Angels with Dirty Faces," to real-life prison photos, you'll find it here.
  
•  The Digital Postcard - This is a major, well-done E-mail greeting service. Many images are available and you can customize your digital postcard's color, backgrounds and music. You can even link to any picture and/or sound on the Web. You can even add a sound selection from your own computer. The Digital Postcard allows Webmasters to add its service to their own Web site---a sure way to pull in more visitors!

•  Titanic Postcards - This clever site allows you to send "Marconigrams," which have a period look & feel and look like actual correspondence from the doomed ocean liner.
  
• CyberKisses - Send your sweetheart an animated "kiss" at this clever free digital card site. There are kisses for girls, kisses for guys, hugs and smooches of all varieties, from blown kisses to healing kisses to smiles, nibbles and even wet kisses. If it involves puckered lips, it's here.
